Simply being in nature boosts mood and increases self esteem in as little as 5 minutes! Spending time outdoors helps us feel clam and connected to ourselves and our surroundings. And taking some of our workouts outside can also help increase how often we move, how much we enjoy it, and our likelihood of maintaining the habit. Take It Outside is a four-week challenge designed to help you reap the physical and emotional rewards of spending more time outside and being active. A variety of ideas and local resources are provided to help make the outdoors accessible to all. You are encouraged to log your active outdoor minutes, check your mood, and take and share #takeitoutside photos. All of this tracking increases accountability and fun. Weekly emails provide tips to keep you engaged and encouraged to try new activities throughout the four weeks.
